Q:Why is it when I try to install the Windows 3.1 drivers for my 8900 video card it keeps asking me for the OEM Trident disk?
A:The disk is going back to the root directory on the floppy disk instead of to the Windows directory. The solution is on the command line:
Type: "a:\win." (Presuming "a:" is the letter of your floppy drive).
This will send the installation back to the Windows Directory on the floppy disk to look for the needed files.

DOS Quattro Video Driver File - Error Report

PRODUCT: Trident 8900C Video Card Driver
FILE: UC51-DOS.EXE
EMBEDDED DIRECTORY: QPRO
EMBEDDED FILE: VIDEO.RSC

On the 8th line "O: Trident . . ." - the first character should be an "E". When installing the un-updated driver under Quattro Pro 2.0 for DOS it causes a fatal error and Quattro will not start. Once the character is changed, it allows the user to modify the Display attributes from the Main Menu in Quattro.
