                          Buzzsaw Version 2.1
                          -------------------

What Is It?
-----------

Buzzsaw is a medium level encryption program that takes in any type of
file and produces an encrypted file. The algorithm used is a proprietary
32 bit encryption which complies with US and Canadian export controls.

How do I Install it?
--------------------

1) Place the BUZZSAW.EXE file in a folder/directory that is the most
commonly used, such as Windows/Command, DOS. Or if it is more convenient,
create a directory or folder named BUZZSAW and copy the files you want
to encrypt/decrypt to that specific folder/directory.

How Do I Run It?
---------------

To run it, either click the BUZZSAW.EXE file, or in DOS, type "BUZZSAW". It
will produce the following:

IN: (enter the input file to would like to encrypt/decrypt)
VAR: (enter a password, or phrase.)
OUT: (enter the output file that will be created.

The above procedure will either encrypt a file, or decrypt a file. BUZZSAW
knows whether to encrypt or decrypt a file. You do not need any special
parameters.

If you give BUZZSAW a BUZZSAW encrypted file and the result is a file that
looks a little strange, it means you entered the wrong password. See the
section further on, "What If I Forget My Password"..

Unlike some other encryption software, I let you see what you are typing
for a password. This way you can check the spelling to ensure that fingers,
eyes and brain are in agreement.

BUZZSAW cannot decrypt another type of input file. It can only decrypt its
own files.

What if I Forget the Password?
------------------------------

If that happens, I can't help you. I won't know what the password was either.
All I can suggest is keeping a copy of the original file before encryption,
or write the password and keep it somewhere safe.

Don't encrypt anything that is irreplaceable. For something like this, it
may be a better idea to make a hardcopy and give it to a lawyer or place in
a Bank safety deposit box for safekeeping.

Distribution Status
-------------------

BUZZSAW is Freeware. You can copy it and distribute it to your heart's
content, but you cannot modify the code.

In using the product, you accept any and all risk. There is no warranty.

thought it would be useful for someone else.
