The Quick Tips section of The HP Palmtop Paper Mar/Apr, 1999,
mentions these two batch files and their corresponding DEBUG
script files.

Since you'll be using the DEBUG program and modifying files in
ways that are undocumented by HP please back up all your critical
files before trying these experimental procedures.

To test these files out, copy D:\DOS\DEBUG.EXE to a separate
directory on your C: or A: drives. Put the two batch files and the
two .SCR files from this archive in the same directory. Put a copy
of the .GDB or .PDB file(s) you want to experiment with in that
directory as well. (Always experiment with a copy rather than the
original file.)

Go to the DOS prompt either in a separate Software Carousel
session or use the command More MENU A T Enter. Then go to the
drive and directory that contains the Debug.exe file.

To convert a Database or Phonebook file to work inside the
NoteTaker application use the command

D2N filename.gdb
or
D2N filename.pdb

You will wind up with a file called xxx.NDB which you may rename
to an appropriate filename.

To convert a Database or Phonebook file to work inside the
WorldTime application use the command

D2W filename.gdb
or
D2W filename.pdb

In this case you will wind up with a file called WORLD.WDB. Follow
the directions in the Quick Tip and save your current
C:\_DAT\WORLD.* files before installing the new WORLD.WDB file in
C:\_DAT.
