Release notes for the Canon BJ-Series GEM/3 Driver
==================================================

Introduction
------------

The supported printers in the Canon BJ-Series are the BJ-10e, BJ-10ex, BJ-300
and BJ-330. The BJ-10ex, the BJ-300 and the BJ-330 can work in two modes, IBM
Proprinter mode and Epson LQ mode. Dip switches must be set to select one
of these modes and details of how to do this are in the User Manual. The
BJ-10e can only operate in IBM Proprinter mode.

There are three printer drivers on the disk :

Canon BJ180E	Canon BJ Series Epson LQ 180 x 180 dpi driver
Canon BJ180P Canon BJ Series IBM Proprinter 180 x 180 dpi driver
Canon BJ360P Canon BJ Series IBM Proprinter 360 x 360 dpi driver

Installation
------------

To install the driver you use the standard GEMSETUP utility on your GEM
system disc. Use the utility to add a printer as normal. When you are asked
to choose the printer to install, select the option "Other (driver pack)".
Insert the driver disc into your floppy drive when asked to do so. When the
printer menu is redisplayed, select the new option for the driver :

Canon BJ Series Epson LQ 180 x 180 dpi driver

Canon BJ Series IBM Proprinter 180 x 180 dpi driver
	       OR
Canon BJ Series IBM Proprinter 360 x 360 dpi driver

When you select the "save and exit" option, GEMSETUP will install the driver for you.
