The graphics accelerator board comes with four driver diskettes. These are the:
Trio32/64 Utilities, DOS and Windows 3.1 Drivers
Trio32/64 Drivers for Windows NT 3.5
    Trio32/64 Drivers for OS/2 2.0/2.1 Disk 1 of 2
    Trio32/64 Drivers for OS/2 2.0/2.1 Disk 2 of 2

Trio32/64 Utilities, DOS and Windows 3.1 Drivers
================================================

This diskette, Trio32/64 Utilities, DOS and Windows 3.1 Drivers, contains
the following drivers and utilities:
Windows 3.1 driver and Galileo utility
    Windows DPMS Program
    AutoCAD Release 11 driver
    AutoCAD Release 12 driver
    MicroStation 4.0 driver
    MicroStation 5.0 driver
    Refresh rate and FCON utility

Installation Procedure

1. Insert the Trio32/64 Utilities, DOS and Windows 3.1 Drivers diskette
   into a floppy drive.

2. At the DOS prompt, type: INSTALL A: C:

3. INSTALL will create a S3INSTLL directory under drive C and copy all
the files contained in the diskette into the S3INSTLL directory.

4. The Drivers Installation Screen will now appear on the screen.

5. Select the driver you wish to install and press <Enter>.

Refresh Rate and FCON Utilities
-------------------------------

Installation

1. Change the current directory to the S3INSTLL directory.

2. Type INSTALL. The Driver Installation screen will appear. Highlight
the Refresh Rate and FCON Utility option and press <Enter>.

3. You will be prompted to enter the drive and directory where
you would like the refresh rate and FCON utilities installed. Enter
the drive/directory and press <Enter>. All the files will be copied
   into the directory.

FCON Utility

FCON.EXE is a utility that allows the user to easily enable the feature
connector's function for test purposes. This utility is only required for 2MB
and 4MB configurations as the BIOS automatically enables the feature
connector's function for 1MB configurations.

Usage: FCON [e|d] [p|v]

where: e = enable; d = disable
       p = pass-through; v = VAFC

Refresh Rate

The S3REFRSH utility requires that a mouse driver be installed. Without a
mouse driver, command line parameters will be required using the
following options:

Usage (without mouse): S3REFRSH X Y

where: X = 640, 800, 1024, 1280
       Y = 0 (56Hz), 1 (60Hz), 2 (70Hz), 3 (72Hz), 4 (75Hz),
           5 (interlaced)

Note: The 1600x1200 and 1152x864 resolutions each have single refresh
rate, therefore, these resolutions does not require the S3REFRSH utility.

If a mouse driver was installed, a menu will appear on the screen upon running
S3REFRSH. The left side of the screen shows the available refresh rates. On top
of the table are the corresponding resolutions. Select the desired resolution by
clicking on the boxes. "X" marks mean the selections are not valid; selected
refresh rates are defined by check marks. Click on the Exit button to set the
new refresh rate. You will be asked if you would like to save the changes in the
AUTOEXEC.BAT. Choose Yes if you wish to use the new refresh rate values
everytime the system boots.

Windows 3.1 Driver

1. Change the current directory to the S3INSTLL directory.

2. Type INSTALL. The Driver Installation screen will appear. Highlight
the Windows 3.1 Driver and Galileo Utility option and press <Enter>.

3. You will be prompted to enter the drive and directory where Windows
was installed. Enter the drive/directory and press <Enter>. All the
files will be copied into the Windows directory.

drivers. Installing the Windows 3.1 drivers automatically installs the
Windows DPMS program. To use the Windows DPMS program:

1. Double-click the Control Panel under the Main group of the Program
   Manager.

2. The Control Panel screen will appear. Double-click the Desktop icon.

3. The Desktop screen will appear. From the Screen Saver Name option,
   select S3 Green PC.

4. Click the Setup option.

5. The S3 DPMS 1.0 screen will appear allowing you to set the password.
If you enabled the Password Protected option, you will be prompted for
the password everytime you wake up the system to return to normal
   mode.

6. Select S3 Green PC Options to set the time before your system enters
the Standby, Suspend and Monitor Off modes.

Note: The Enable Green PC Monitor Feature option must be enabled to
allow your system to enter the Standby, Suspend or Monitor Off
         mode.
