   I have a Tandy 4000 computer (catalog No. 25-5000) that have a
80MB scsi hard drive and scsi controller card. I would like to
upgrade the hard drive and controller card from scsi to a 850MB
IDE hard drive and IDE controller card but I was told that it may
not be possible because my BOIS is not upgradeable and it will
not support IDE. Can anyone here make any suggestions - can I
upgrade to another scsi hard drive and controller card.

   Thanks in Advance,

   John

John get a GSI-18 hard drive controller. It has an onboard bios
and will run an enhanced hard drive. Set the number of drives to
none and the controller will do the rest. I have one in my 4000
and it works great.

Good Luck Tim Loiselle
