1.  WHAT IS SICQ Groupware?

  Welcome!  SICQ Groupware is ICQ-like(like ICQGroupware),Client/Server Software   
  Architectures,communication software which supports plug-ins. 
  SICQ Groupware has been providing
  Microsoft Windows network users with an easy way to communicate with 
  each other it was first released in 2001.

  SICQ Groupware is a powerful Windows instant message communicaiton
  program that allows you many options. SICQ Groupware's function is powerful,
  such as:

  o  Fast connection and small size

  o  Multi people netmeeting

  o  Voice chat

  o  Friend Online notify

  o  Amusement (I-Go,Five Chess,Chinese Chess)

  o  plug-ins to upgrade

  o  Real time searching for online clients

  o  Message arrival reminding

  o  Personal information management

2.  SICQ Groupware SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
----------------------------------------------------------------------
  In order to run SICQ Groupware, your system must meet these specifications:

  o  An IBM PC or compatible that meets the minimum hardware
     requirements for your version of Microsoft Windows.

  o  Windows NT 3.51 (or higher) or Windows 95 installed and
     configured on your system.

  o  A mouse or other pointing device


2.1 Evaluation Package Contents

  Included in the SICQ Groupware archive file(SICQGroupware.zip) are the
  following files:

  sicqserversetup-english.exe     SICQ's server,installed on your pc server.
  sicqsetup-english.exe     SICQ's client,installed on your pc.
  sicqchatsetup-english.exe     SICQ's multi-meeting plug-ins,installed as 					sicq client's plug-ins.
  sicqcnchesssetup-english.exe     SICQ's chinese chess plug-ins,installed as 					sicq client's plug-ins.
  sicqweiqisetup-english.exe     SICQ's I-go plug-ins,installed as sicq 						client's plug-ins.

  In any communication with WestDog regarding a problem with
  SICQ Groupware, please clearly state the following:

  o  The product name and version number.

  o  Your name, address, e-mail address and telephone number.

  o  Your hardware and software configuration.

  o  A description of the problem, and what you were trying to do when
     the problem occurred.

6.  SETUP AND CONFIGURATION
----------------------------------------------------------------------
6.1 Installation Instructions

  The SICQ Groupware installation program is a Microsoft Windows
  application.  You must have Windows NT 3.51 (or higher) or 
  Windows 95 installed prior to installing SICQ Groupware.  Setup will 
  automatically detect the version of Windows in use and copy the
  appropriate files during the install.  To install SICQ Groupware, 
  perform the following steps:

  1. Start Windows, if you haven't already done so.

  2. Insert the SICQ Groupware diskette into a floppy drive.

  For Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0 users:

  3. From the Start menu, select Run

  For Windows NT 3.51 users:

  3. From the Program Manager menu bar, choose File, and select Run
     from the drop down menu.

  For all users:

  4. In the dialog box, enter:
          a:\????setup.exe
     (If you are installing SICQ Groupware from a diskette drive other than
     the A drive, you will need to change the drive letter in the
     command line above.)

  5. Click on the OK button.

  6. Follow the instructions given by the setup wizard for correct
     installation of the product.


6.2  Installed Files

  The SICQ Groupware setup program copies the following files to your
  computer during installation:

  sicqserver
  calendar.dat    Sicqserver's database.
  schedule_svr.ini     Ini file used by the sicqserver program.
  sicqserver.exe  Executable for Windows 95 & Windows NT.
  uninstal.exe    Uninstall program used by Windows.
  uninstallsicqserver.ini  Information file for unintall.
  
  sicq
  sicq.exe    Executable for Windows 95 & Windows NT.
  uninstal.ini Information file for unintall.

6.3  Uninstall Instructions

  If after installing SICQ Groupware, you find it necessary to remove
  the software from your computer, perform the following steps:

  Uninstall instructions for Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0

  1. Run the Windows Control Panel

  2. Open the Add/Remove Programs applet from Control Panel.

  3. Select SICQ Groupware from the list of applications that can 
     uninstalled by Windows.

  4. Click on the Add/Remove button to uninstall SICQ Groupware.

  Uninstall instructions for Windows NT 3.51

  1. In Program Manager, open the program group where you installed
     SICQ Groupware.

  2. Click on the Uninstall SICQ Groupware icon to remove SICQ Groupware
     from your system.

  If the uninstall program encounters errors, see the following 
  section for uninstall instructions.


6.4  Manual Uninstall Instructions

  If you encounter problems during the uninstall, here are the steps 
  you can take to manually uninstall SICQ Groupware from your computer.

  Uninstall Instructions for Windows NT 3.51

  1. Start Windows, if you haven't already done so.

  2. In Program Manager, find the program group in which SICQ Groupware was
     installed. Click once on the SICQ Groupware icon to highlight it. Press
     the delete key. Confirm that you wish to delete the program item.

  3. If you selected "Automatically run SICQ Groupware when Windows starts"
     during installation, delete SICQ Groupware from the Startup group.

     In Program Manager, find the Startup group. Click once on the
     SICQ Groupware icon to highlight it. Press the delete key. Confirm that
     you wish to delete the program item.

  4. Run File Manager and change to the directory in which you
     installed SICQ Groupware.  Delete all the files listed in section 6.2.

  Uninstall Instructions for Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0

  1. Start Windows, if you haven't already done so.

  2. From the Start Menu, select Settings and then Taskbar. Now
     configure your Start Menu Programs by clicking on the Advanced
     button.

  3. Find the program group in which SICQ Groupware was installed. Click
     once on the SICQ Groupware filename to highlight it. Press the delete
     key. Confirm that you wish to delete the program item.

  4. If you selected "Automatically run SICQ Groupware when Windows starts"
     during installation, delete SICQ Groupware from the Startup group.

     Follow step #2 and then find the Startup group. Click once on the
     SICQ Groupware icon to highlight it. Press the delete key. Confirm
     that you wish to delete the program item.

  5. Run Windows Explorer and change to the directory in which you
     installed SICQ Groupware. Delete all the files listed in section 6.2.

  registered if you want use more clients(trial version provides 5 clients).
