Introduction:

WWAutomatic is a humble program I "wrote" for my personal use. I have liked the finished work so I decided release it. I hope people have in account it is my first "code" and understand it (and excuse me by "bugs" and broken English).

Minimum System:

* Pentiun PC 133 MHz
* 32 mega RAM,
* 1 mega free space into HD.
* WordWeb Dictionary installed
* Windows 95 or 98

Instal:

WWAutomatic is packed into an Installer program - usually "setup.exe". Simply double click the executable. The installer will make the magic. Follow and agree or not with the statements. The installer will place program files and icons where you choice.

Use:

1# Open (turn on) WWautomatic.

2# Left click twice on the word you want to know the
sense.

3# Right click one on the detached word

4# Choice "Copy" on the pop up menu.

5# It's all. WWautomatic will get the word and sends it
to WordWeb. The sense of the word will be displayed
into WordWeb window.

Configuration:

By default WWAutomatic ever shows up a dialog window questioning you for sending or not the word it has captured from the clipboard to WordWeb dictionary. You can turn it off by mark the "verify ever" dialog box.
It is not permanent. Next time you shutdown and start up(turn off and on) WWautomatic the box "verify ever" will be unmarked.

FAQ:

Q: Can I use WWAutomatic having not installed WordWeb Dictionary in my system?
R: No. You need WordWeb installed into your system to make use of WWAutomatic. But you can install WordWeb after you have installed WWAutomatic into your system.

Q: What is WordWeb ? Where can I find it?
R: WordWeb Dictionary is a electronic dictionary by Antony Lewis. You can find the freeware version of WordWeb dictionary in the best download sites across the Internet. Or you can go to official site: www.wordweb.co.uk.

Q: I can not turn off WordWeb dictionary when I use WWAutomatic. Why?
R: It is an expected behavior! By default WWAutomatic will go ever start up WordWeb dictionary in case you turn it off. It is intended to make access to WordWeb quick. To close WordWeb you have to close WWAutomatic firstly.

Q: Some times WWAutomatic doesn't work. I try several times send a word to WordWeb by clicking copy in pop up menu but the word is not sent to WordWeb. Why?
R: Probably WordWeb and WWAutomatic are "out of phase". To fix it simply turn off WordWeb. WWAutomatic automatically will open WordWeb in a matter of seconds. When WordWeb gets open it surely will be "in phase" with WWAutomatic.

Q: I marked the "Show no more" box in the WWAutomatic start dialog window. Now WWAutomatic does not show the dialog window. Can I fix it?
R: Yes. You have to go to directory where you have installed WWAutomatic and find the file named "setup2.cfg". Simply delete it.

Q: I marked the "verify ever" option into the WWAutomatic dialog window. Now WWautomatic no more question me if I want or not it sends an word to WordWeb. I would like to have it working the way it was before. Is it possible?
R: Ever. Simply turn WWAutomatic off and on. By default ever WWautomatic is started up the "verify ever" option is unmarked.

Q: When I have WWAutomatic running and I try use clipboard to handle files (not pieces of text) I get WWAutomatic shutdowns it self and I lost files in the clipboard. Why?
R: When you are running WWAutomatic you can not use clipboard to handle files . You can only handle pieces of text, not full text files or other kind of files. WWAutomatic will shutdown it self if it detected you have tryed using the clipboard to handle files.

Q: Do you give any warranty to WordWeb Dictionary?
R: Absolutely no! THE USER MUST ASSUME THE ENTIRE RISK OF USING THE PROGRAM.

Q: Do you provide any warranty to WWAutomatic 1.7 ?
R: Absolutely no! WWAutomatic 1.7 AND COMPANYING FILES ARE SOLD "AS IS" AND WITHOUT WARRANTIES AS TO PERFORMANCE OF MERCHANTABILITY OR ANY OTHER WARRANTIES WHETHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. THE USER MUST ASSUME THE ENTIRE RISK OF USING THE PROGRAM .

Uninstall:

Go to control panel, find : "Install Uninstall Programs". Double click it. Look after the entry WWAutomatic 1.7. Click on it. Unistaller will go clean your system out of WWautomatic. It is all.

Bugs:

Some times when WWAutomatic is running and you try get a sense for an word you can have WordWeb not automatically displaying it up on screen. Much of the time cause is WWAutomatic and WordWeb are "out of phase". To fix it you simply must close (shutdown) WordWeb. When WWAutomatic automatically opens (start up) WordWeb it will be "in phase" with WWautomatic. Shutdown and startint up WordWeb can correct most of problems you can have using WWAutomatic.

Final Comments:

WWAutomatic is an unpretentious program I have made for my personal use. I have learn some C and TCL in my spare time but I am not a "fist full of code" programmer.

I also have to mention (if you have not noted before) my english language domain is not so good I have wanted it was. It is my fault and I have worked on it (in deed it explains becaus I have used WordWeb Dictionary so much and because I have made a program that makes more easy look out for words sense over WordWeb).

Primary I have placed WWAutomatic in a WWW site for distribution because I wanted a motivation to set up my first Web Site. I had had several ideas but lacked a real motivation.
You can use and distribute WWAutomatic 1.7 for free over the Internet. If you find it usefull you can place it into a CD ROM for distribution for free (you cold consider send me a copy of the CD ROM, but you are not obliged to).

Also, you can consider (you are not obliged) send me a nice paper post card or a nice telephone card from where you live.

Finishing, I have to mention I have "coded" WWAutomatic using "Sanscript"; a real visual programming language. If you teach computer for children (or not so young people) I fully recommend you give a chance to that programming language. It could be a good "first steeps" into programming world and it is very easy to work with.

I have to mention also I have used Power Arquiver (www.powerarchive.com - freeware) to zip my files and SmartInstall (www.mjsoft.co.uk - freeware) to pack my files for distribution. And the "Classic" Arachnophilia to create help files and Web pages. They are very good freewares.

Thank you for downloading WWAutomatic and read this document to the very end. A good new millenniun for you all.
