EASITax is shareware, which means it may be used freely.  This full
working version prints "sample" along with all of your normal 
information on printed output until a registration password is entered.

QUICK START INSTRUCTIONS

These instructions are designed to get you started quickly with just 
3 minutes of reading.  Detailed instructions are available once you 
are in the software by pressing the F1 function key or by selecting an
option from the Help menu option.

GETTING STARTED

Just double-click on the installation file (.exe) and follow the on 
screen instructions.

NOTE: Some shareware download sites do not allow distribution of
the VBRUN300.dll file.  If you get an error indicating that this
file is needed and not found, you can get the needed file from
www.Simtel.com by looking in the Win3x collection under the
section labelled "dll" and downloading the VBRUN300.zip file.


Once EASITax is started, you will see a dialog box that allows you to 
enter a password.  If you have received a registration password from 
EASI, enter it and then press the OK button.  Otherwise, press cancel 
to continue. 
NOTE: Once a valid password has been provided, this dialog box will 
not ever appear again.

Click on the logo to begin and select a tax form from in the Document
List dialog.  Press the OK pushbutton to view the desired form.

Once your selected form displays on the screen, you will see your main 
toolbar displayed on the right side of the screen which controls all 
of the main functions in EASITax.  Each of the toolbar options are 
described below;

TOOLBAR OPTIONS

OPEN - SELECT A DOCUMENT TEMPLATE

Displays a list of document templates that are available on this 
workstation.  Once a document has been selected, it will be displayed 
on the screen and 'New' button will be automatically clicked 
to prepare for entry of a new form.

NEW - BEGIN FILLING IN A NEW FORM

Copies default information from the last form modified and prepares to 
fill in a new copy of a form.  This feature will avoid re-entering 
repetitive information on each form.

SAVE - SAVE A FILLED IN FORM TO DISK

Edited forms will display options to overlay the previous copy with the 
revised information by clicking 'Save the Changes' or to insert a new 
copy into the database without affecting the previous copy by 
clicking 'Make a New Copy'.  This is a great way to change a previously 
filled out form and then save it as a new form.

PRINT - PRINT ONE OR ALL OF THE FORMS

Displays a list of print templates along with options to print up to 
999 copies at a single time.  Margin adjustments allow templates to be 
aligned precisely on any printer.

COMPANY - SELECT ONE OR ALL COMPANIES

Information that is required on the 1099 and W3 transmittal forms can 
be entered using this option.  Single companies can be selected for 
display and printing.

DELETE - DELETE THE CURRENT COPY OF A FORM

Prompts you to ensure that you wish to delete the form that is 
currently displayed on the screen.

MOVEMENT ARROWS - |<, <, >, >|

Move to the first, previous, next, or last form

ENTERING EMPLOYER AND EMPLOYEE INFORMATION

To begin entering information into a form, press the New button.  Type 
the appropriate information into each of the fields on the screen and 
then press the Tab key to move to the next field.

When all the fields for a particular employee have been filled in, 
press the Save button to store the results to your hard disk.  Then 
press the New button to begin entering the next employee's information.

EASITax automatically copies payer information from the previous form 
whenever the New button is pressed to begin entering information for 
the next employee.  As a result, changing to a different employer is 
as simple as filling in the new employers information along with the 
data for the first employee and then pressing the New button to begin 
the next employee.

WORKING ONE EMPLOYER AT A TIME

When the Company button is pressed, a screen will display so you can 
select a single company and enter information that is needed for 
printing the 1096 or W3 transmittal summary.
 
The Display/Printing Groups section allows you to select "All Forms" 
or "One Company Only".

Press the OK pushbutton to save the company information that has 
been entered.  If the "One Company Only" option has been selected, 
the system will display, browse and print only the forms that 
contain the selected company name.

Select Print from the Toolbar to display the Print Dialog.

Select the Transmittal form from the list.

When the Print pushbutton is pressed, the Company information screen 
will display for verification and company selection.

The system will ask "Are you using a pre-printed label?".  Answering 
Yes will keep the system from printing ID and address information.

The Graph tab displays form data grapically as well as tabular.  The 
What-If Data Grid drop-down window contains totals by Employer within 
the grid.
