 The History of Bingo

Bingo is an old dog now.

When he was younger, he helped us |
with simple addition, subtraction, |
and counting... |

As the kids got older
He didn't get much use.

Rather than put the Mangy Cur into |
the Boneyard, we rewrote Bingo. |

The revision included Mouse and |
Sound Card Support and VGA |
Graphics, Multiplication and |
Division and improved activities. |

We gave Bingo to a local publisher |
in 1993, hoping that lonely old |
Bingo could play with other |
children and dig-up a bone or two |
in someone else's yard. |

Sadly for Bingo, the publisher |
didn't have much success finding |
him new homes. He is now back with |
us, and can be downloaded from our |
WebSite: |

The Crux of the Dog Biscuit

BINGO uses visual "countable" |
objects to illustrate arithmetic |
problems. This is useful for young |
children. |

More advanced concepts are dealt |
with in a simple visual manner. |
This makes BINGO useful to older |
students. |

Throughout the program, GROUPS of |
DOG BONES are used to represent |
NUMBERS. Numbers are also |
simultaneously displayed using |
normal format. |

 Music and Graphics

To get the full benefit of BINGO's |
music, an AdLib compatible sound |
card is required. |

Bingo's music is in General Midi |
File format with AdLib "Sysex" |
Events for the special sounds. |

The Back Ground graphics are in |
256 Color .PCX file format. |
