CFB Timer is a no-nonsense countdown alarm suitable for timing a few seconds up to 99 minutes. It is designed to be as quick and simple to operate as possible and works even if your Palm is switched off or it is reset.

While Palm's built-in Alarm clock is great for waking you up or reminding you of an appointment, if you just need to time how long to cook a steak on the BBQ, or a reminder of a meeting in 15 minutes etc. CFB Timer is easier to use.

You can either

enter the numbers using graffiti numbers, or

tap the Mins or Secs button to move to that field and display the Palm numeric keyboard.

Tap the Cancel button to cancel the alarm and reset the countdown to 0.

You can use other Palm programs while the countdown is operating. The alarm sounds and a message is displayed when the countdown has finished.

7. NOTES

Normally when the Palm is powered off, alarms are only accurate to within one minute. To ensure the alarm occurs within a second of when it is due, the Palm needs to be powered on during the last minute of countdown. CFB Timer ensures this by using the following techniques during the last minute of countdown:

1. If you press the power off button you will get a warning message.
2. If Auto-sleep occurs it will be delayed until after the alarm.
3. If the Palm is already powered off, it will automatically be woken up.

If you enter a seconds value greater than 59, it is converted into the equivalent minutes and seconds. Times greater than 99 minutes and 59 seconds are rounded down to 99 minutes and 59 seconds.
